Peter Hogan

Peter Hogan

Peter began his martial arts journey with a year of Muay Thai training at Siam Camp, Greater Manchester. He then explored boxing for six months before moving to London to study at university.

In 2018, Peter discovered his passion for BJJ when he joined the beginners’ course at Kingston Jiu Jitsu. He fell in love with the sport and committed himself to regular training, which he still maintains. Peter has medalled many times on the local competition circuit. He also helps students prepare for competition and sometimes goes along to coach/support mat-side.

Peter recently completed levels 2 and 3 of the UKBJJA referee course, gaining experience by refereeing at the English Open under the guidance of Marcelo Coppa, the Head UKBJJA referee.

He has been involved in local youth social projects aimed at helping young people from troubled backgrounds. Peter is a father of two children, and his oldest child won gold in two competitions at Kingston Jiu Jitsu.
